I was looking forward to reading this biography on Winston Churchill. I have always heard about what a great man and leader he was and I wanted to read a well written biography explaining who this man was, outside of our history text books. This book does talk about Churchill, his life growing up, in the military and as a leader of Britain.
Unfortunately, I felt the book was dull and poorly written. I know the author was trying to cram as much about Churchill as he could into a pocket-sized edition, but in doing so lost a proper flow of the book. Often times, I felt the book jumped from one section to the next without a proper segue. The book is a very easy read, but I found myself putting it down quite often. For such a small book, I really struggled getting through it.
This is one in a series that Thomas Nelson is putting out for publication. Hopefully, the others will not fall short as well.
